Delana Engelhardt, General Manager

When Delana Engelhardt was growing up she imagined she’d be many things: police officer, flight attendant, and high school history teacher were just a few of the things that crossed her mind. Never in a million years did it enter into her spectrum that she’d have the opportunity to be the General Manager of the best restaurant and catering company in Central Texas.

A Texas native she spent her formative years in Washington State before moving back to Texas in 2007 to attend the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor.  While at UMHB she studied History and English, fully intending on becoming a certified high school History teacher. One day she stopped at The Range to visit a friend who worked there, even though she wasn’t looking for a job that very afternoon she left the restaurant with one.

Delana began as a backwaiter, working a few days a week while attending classes at UMHB. She was quickly promoted up the ranks when in 2012 Dave Hermann, the Executive Chef and Owner, offered her the position of General Manager. She stumbled into the restaurant industry quite by accident but couldn’t be happier. Her love of customer service and her drive to deliver unforgettable experiences to each and every Range guest enables her to come to work every day with a smile on her face. Even more exciting she still gets to use her passion to teach on a daily basis as she educates her staff on a myriad of things from the finer points of customer service to the difference between Cognac and Brandy. She is blessed to be working with an amazing team of individuals whose passion and dedication rival her own.
